SEEKR isn't about having arrived anywhere. It's built for the pursuit — the part of the story where you're still reaching, still becoming, still in motion. That idea didn't come out of nowhere. Here are five verses that shaped how we think about the series, and why "seeking" is the whole point rather than a phase to get through.
1. Jeremiah 29:13 — "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
This is the starting point for the whole series. Seeking isn't a placeholder for finding — it's presented as the actual condition for it. Wholehearted, not half-interested. SEEKR pieces are built the same way: no shortcuts in the fabric, no half-measures in the construction.
2. Matthew 6:33 — "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Seeking has an order to it. This verse is about priority, not just persistence — what you go after first shapes everything that follows. It's a good verse to sit with if your pursuit lately has felt scattered.
3. Philippians 3:12 — "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me."
Paul, writing this after most of his ministry, still describing himself as in pursuit. If he wasn't done seeking, nobody is. This is the verse that gave us "movement before arrival" as the way we describe the series — pursuit doesn't have an expiry date.
4. Psalm 27:8 — "My heart says of you, 'Seek his face!' Your face, LORD, I will seek."
A response, not a command. The seeking here comes from the heart already leaning that direction before it's told to. Worth remembering that pursuit isn't always about discipline — sometimes it's just the natural direction you're already facing.
5. Hebrews 11:6 — "...he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
Earnestly. Not casually, not eventually — with intent. That's the word that sits behind the SEEKR name: not just interested in the pursuit, but earnest about it.
